Dozens of settlers invaded the al-Aqsa Mosque compound, on the al-Maghariba Gate side, under heavy surveillance by the Israeli occupation police. The occupation police have deployed their forces and special units in al-Aqsa courtyards and at its gates, to secure incursions by extremists.
The Islamic Endowments Department, Awqaf, in Quds city (occupied Jerusalem) (affiliated with Jordan) said dozens of settlers stormed the al-Aqsa mosque, staged "provocative" visits to its courtyards and executed rituals in the Bab ar-Rahma area.
The occupation police continue to restrict the entry of worshipers into al-Aqsa from Jerusalem and the 1948 Occupied Territories, verifying their identities and detaining some of them at the outer gates.
Jerusalemites have stepped up their calls for support for the al-Aqsa mosque, in light of the dangers to which it is exposed, due to the practices of the occupation and its settlers and their plans to Judaize.
Every day except Fridays and Saturdays, the al-Aqsa mosque witnesses a series of violations and raids by settlers, under the protection of the occupation police, in an attempt to impose full control over the mosque and to divide it temporally and spatially.Despite Arab and Islamic condemnations of occupation violations against the al-Aqsa mosque, attacks against it continue unabated.
