America's Global Dictatorship, Everyone Must Obey the Law, Except Us!

American exceptionalism is not a new phenomenon and dates back to the founding of the United States. Americans deeply believe that their country is an exception to the general rule of the world, and they believe that this belief will not change in the future. The prevailing belief in America is that not only is their land the best, freest, richest, and most powerful country in the world, but also that America is a separate world, one that is happier, immune, and safe from all the disasters and wars that occur in other countries.

According to American exceptionalism, the United States is considered distinct and unique compared to other countries. Proponents of this theory argue that the values, political system, and historical development of the United States are unparalleled in human history, giving America the right to play a distinct and influential role on the world stage.

According to this theory, Americans participate in the creation of international organizations, institutions, and laws in collaboration with other countries. However, they are also known to disregard these laws when it suits them, while expecting other countries to always abide by them (even though these laws are heavily influenced by America). Failure to comply may result in American pressure, including embargoes or military action, a behavior that could be described as America's global dictatorship.

In the most recent example of the US dictatorship, the US House of Representatives approved a draft law on June 4 (15 June). This law states that officials of the International Criminal Court will be sanctioned for issuing arrest warrants for Israeli officials involved in the Gaza war.

The law sanctions ICC members who have issued prosecution orders against American citizens and US allies, such as Israel. It also prohibits these officials from entering the United States, suspends any visas they may have been granted, and restricts their ability to engage in asset transactions in the US.

This is despite the fact that when this court issued rulings against other countries, including America's rivals such as Russia, America supported it and forced other countries to implement these rulings. The interesting thing is that America is not a member of this court and does not consider itself bound to implement its rules.

This is just one example of America's double standards and global dictatorship. This country has been full of contradictory and mercenary behavior since its establishment. Americans are constantly criticizing the detention and imprisonment of people in different countries while turning a blind eye to their own prisons. The United States has the largest number of prisoners in the world with 1.767 million prisoners; even more than the prisoners of populous countries such as India and China. The country is also known for its high incarceration rate, with approximately 629 prisoners per 100,000 people, the highest in the world.

The United States is also attempting to establish a global dictatorship in the digital sphere. By exploiting the fact that the main levers of Internet governance are located in Western countries, Washington aims to create a global digital dictatorship, effectively eradicating governments' ability to extend their sovereignty in the digital realm.

For instance, xenophobic, racist, nationalist, and Russophobic content is frequently published on Western websites, with administrators turning a blind eye to it. Simultaneously, they mercilessly block channels and accounts of media outlets and regular users who share perspectives diverging from the Western viewpoint.

The United States is often criticized for issuing statements supporting peace and respecting the national sovereignty of other countries on one hand, but on the other hand, carrying out military actions against countries like Afghanistan, Iraq, Syria, Yemen, etc.

The United States has faced criticism for promoting free trade while also prioritizing domestic industries through tariffs on imports like wood and agricultural products. Additionally, the United States has been criticized for not ratifying the Convention on the Rights of the Child at the United Nations, despite claiming to defend human rights. While publicly opposing torture, evidence of torture has been uncovered both domestically and internationally from time to time.

The United States talks about respecting the national sovereignty of other countries, but has supported internal guerrilla movements and paramilitary organizations, such as the contras in Nicaragua and rebels in Syria. The United States has also supported the unilateral independence of Kosovo, while condemning the unilateral independence of other countries and regions like Abkhazia and South Ossetia, citing territorial integrity.

This country expresses concern about drug production in countries like Bolivia and Venezuela, but in practice, it does not pay attention to established programs and bilateral assistance to address these issues.

The United States protests and condemns human rights violations in China, but supports similar violations by Israel. It also backs dictators in other countries who aim to overthrow democratic governments. The US questions Iran's peaceful nuclear program, despite being the only country to have used nuclear weapons in war and currently possessing 5,113 nuclear warheads. It has withdrawn from the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA) and failed to meet its obligations, yet still expects Iran to fulfill theirs.

Overall, it should be noted that the unipolar world dominated by Americans is changing. Various world powers are emerging and expanding their influence, all with a unified stance against the global dictatorship of the United States. Americans will eventually need to let go of the past and adapt to these new conditions.
