Protesters against the policies of the Moldovan government took to the streets of the country's capital. According to the TASS news agency, thousands of Moldovans held anti-government demonstrations on the streets of Chisinau, the capital and outside the parliament to protest living conditions and high prices for food and fuel.
Protesters against government policies blocked roads around the country's parliament and chanted anti-government slogans such as "death to the dictatorship" and called for early elections.
The anti-government demonstration was organized by the opposition Shor party, a number of non-parliamentary parties and prominent Moldovan figures. The Moldovan police did not intervene in the demonstration and tried to direct the crowd to the streets around the country's parliament.
