The head of the Supreme Judicial Council of Iraq announced the issuance of an arrest warrant for former US President Donald Trump. The commander of the Quds Brigade of the IRGC, Colonel General Qassem Soleimani, on January 3, 2020, during a visit to Iraq, made at the official invitation of the authorities of this country, was martyred as a result of a terrorist attack along with the deputy chairman of the Iraqi People’s Militia Organization (Al-Hashd al-Shaabi ) Abu Mahdi al-Muhandis and 8 persons accompanying them near Baghdad airport. The terrorist attack was carried out by US forces using drones.

On this occasion, according to the AAA news agency, the head of the Supreme Judicial Council of Iraq, Faiq Zeidan, on Thursday at the ceremony of the third anniversary of the martyrdom of the “commanders of Victory” (Martyrs Suleimani and Al-Muhandis) in Baghdad, said that the martyrdom of these two commanders was a great and irreparable loss. The head of the Iraqi Supreme Judicial Council added, “The responsibility in the Iraqi judiciary to punish those responsible for the killing of the Victory commanders is multifaceted, and this system will not hesitate to take legal action against anyone found guilty of or complicit in this crime.” Zeidan noted that the Iraqi judiciary had issued an arrest warrant for former US President Donald Trump, who confessed to the crime.

The Minister of Defense and Support of the Armed Forces wrote in a message on the occasion of the third anniversary of the martyrdom of Colonel General Qasim Soleimani: Revenge for the blood of Colonel General Soleimani will never be removed from the agenda of the country’s Armed Forces and terrorists will be punished for this act. Brigadier General Mohammad Reza Ashtiani wrote that if the greatness of Iran’s Islamic Revolution requires ever-living examples, then the self-sacrifice of martyrs such as Colonel-General Qasim Soleimani is evident. He added that Colonel-General and favorite of the Islamic world, Qasim Soleimani, in the interpretation of the Supreme Leader of the Revolution, Imam Khamenei, in all dimensions is not a person, but a “school”, which arose from the heart of the great school of Imam Khomeni (May Allah bless him) and the light illuminating the path of the great to the multitude of the youth of the world, seekers of truth and seekers of martyrdom.

Ashtiani said that the murder of the martyr Soleimani, committed by the lowest human beings in history, shows that he has chosen the right path in supporting human rights defenders and the oppressed peoples of the world. The Minister of Defense noted that revenge for the blood of Colonel General Soleimani is on the permanent agenda of the Armed Forces of the country, and the commanders and perpetrators of this cowardly murder will be punished for their shameful act at a time and place that they do not expect. Former US President Donald Trump ordered the assassination of Soleimani in January 2020.
