Beyond Retribution: Tehran's Comprehensive Spectrum of Measures Against US-Backed Terrorism
As we commemorate the fourth anniversary of the martyrdom of General Qasem Soleimani, the recent terrorist explosions in Kerman serve as a stark reminder of the validity of the Axis of Resistance’s main argument. A discerning examination of the unfolding events in the Middle East region reveals the perilous presence of covert terrorist cells operating in war-ravaged countries like Afghanistan, posing a grave threat to Iran's national security. Over the past decade, Iran has borne witness to the sacrifice of thousands of martyrs, fervently seeking to obliterate these nefarious groups.

Among the salient topics that have arisen following the recent terrorist incident in Kerman is the resolute response to those who orchestrated it. The leader of the Axis of Resistance, Imam Sayyed Ali Khamenei, has issued an order that extends beyond mere retribution, outlining a meticulously planned, higher echelon of reprisal against this heinous act.

In today’s Middle East’s geopolitical landscape, the United States, with its numerous military bases, emerges as one of the legitimate targets of Tehran’s revenge. It is crucial to emphasize that such a reaction transcends mere military action, encompassing a comprehensive spectrum of measures ranging from legal proceedings to military operations.

For years, the Islamic Republic of Iran has persistently pursued the legal expulsion of the United States armed forces from Islamic territories. The Pentagon's contention for maintaining a military presence in Iraq is primarily rooted in fictitious counterterrorism efforts and the training of the Iraqi army.

Iraq, among the countries fervently striving to expel the remnants of the US army from its soil, has once again thrust this issue into the national spotlight. In the aftermath of a recent US drone strike on a key headquarters of the Iraqi Popular Mobilization Forces (PMF), which tragically led to the martyrdom of several PMF commanders, the incident assumes profound dimensions that demand a closer examination.

Firstly, the sovereignty of Iraq has been recurrently violated by the US army in recent years, inflicting severe damage upon the national pride of this nation. The people of Iraq, justifiably enraged, harbor profound resentment towards these transgressions. Secondly, successive Iraqi administrations find themselves subject to Washington’s meddling in Iraqi domestic affairs, impeding their ability to attain a viable socioeconomic stability reminiscent of bygone eras.

These two factors have propelled the discourse surrounding the expulsion of the American army from Iraq, permeating political and social circles in Baghdad. According to an adviser to the Iraqi Prime Minister, negotiations pertaining to the withdrawal of the US-led international coalition forces must be expedited. Capitalizing on the relative political stability currently experienced, Iraq seems steadfast in initiating a plan for withdrawing Western forces from its territory through concerted efforts within its parliament.

On the whole, the withdrawal of the United States army from Iraq, serving as the initial blow delivered by the Axis of Resistance against the Western axis, can be perceived as an incisive response to the disgraceful support extended by the White House towards the atrocities committed by the Israeli regime against civilians in Gaza, as well as the terrorist blast that struck Kerman.

The Axis of Resistance does not intend to respond to Israel's acts of terrorism with a mere token gesture or two. Instead, a cascade of actions undertaken by it within the close geographical proximity of the Israeli regime shall serve as a robust reply to the succession of clandestine assassinations perpetrated by said regime.
