ISLAMABAD-Chinese Foreign Minister Qin Gang and Pakistani Foreign Minister Bilawal Bhutto Zardari chaired the fourth strategic dialogue between the foreign ministers of China and Pakistan on May 6 in Islamabad, Pakistan. This was reported by Radio China International.
The two sides agreed to continue staunchly supporting each other on matters concerning each other's core interests. The Chinese side reiterated that it regards Pakistan as a priority in its neighborhood diplomacy and strongly supports it in safeguarding its sovereignty, independence and territorial integrity, as well as in achieving national unity, social stability and economic prosperity. The Pakistani side reaffirmed its firm commitment to the One China policy and its firm support for China on all key issues affecting it, including Taiwan, Xinjiang, Tibet, Hong Kong and the South China Sea .
The two sides confirmed that the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor is an exemplary project of the "Belt and Road" initiative, which has contributed to Pakistan's economic and social development, expanded employment and improved people's livelihood. The two sides also exchanged views on international and regional issues of common interest.
