BEIJING-China has asked the Israeli regime to "stop intrusions" into the Palestinian territories and resources, while Tel Aviv continues to authorize and approve the construction of settlements in the occupied territories.
Speaking on Thursday at the United Nations Security Council, Geng Shuang, China's Deputy Permanent Representative to the UN, said that "since the beginning of this year, the Zionist regime has continued to carry out unilateral actions by approving returns, building new colonies and legalizing existing ones”.
Stressing that such colonial constructions and activities violate international law and UN Security Council Resolution 2334, he expressed Beijing's position to "urge Israel to immediately halt such actions and stop invading the lands and resources of the people Palestinian".
