Donetsk, violent Ukrainian shelling: never since 2014

This was reported by Alexei Koulemzine, mayor of the city. The Kiev army’s shelling of the People’s Republic in eastern Ukraine injured at least 9 civilians, Koulemzine added.

The Donetsk People’s Republic representative office at the Joint Control and Coordination Center said the Ukrainian army fired 40 rockets from BM-21 Grad multiple missile launcher systems at Donetsk’s Voroshilovsky and Kiev neighborhoods.

“Another war crime was committed this morning by Ukrainian fascists. They subjected the center of Donetsk to the most massive attack since 2014,” the official said on Telegram. Information on casualties and injuries is being clarified, the mayor said.

Koulemzine added that several rockets directly hit multi-story civilian buildings in the city, some of which caught fire.

MOSCOW – Russian President Vladimir Putin said his country will seek new partners among dynamic developing states.

“We will look for more promising partners in the actively growing regions of the world economy. These are Asia, the Middle East, Latin America, and Africa. It is to the markets of friendly countries that we will redirect Russian energy supplies,” Putin said.

The statement at a meeting of the Council for Strategic Development and National Projects.
