Ebola death toll rises to 21 in Uganda

Ugandan news sources have announced that cases of Ebola have been observed in several cities in Uganda, and this has caused concern among the people of Uganda about the spread of this disease.

According to Swahili Radio Abroad, the government of Uganda has ordered the relevant authorities, particularly the Ministry of Health, to take the necessary measures to control and deal with this disease. At the same time, East African countries, including Kenya and Tanzania, have declared a state of emergency and taken strict preventive measures on their borders with Uganda. The last Ebola outbreak occurred in eastern Congo in August 2018, killing more than 1,800 people. There have been four outbreaks in Uganda, and the last time Uganda reported a fatal outbreak was in 2021. The largest outbreak of the deadly Ebola disease occurred between December 2013 and April 2016, killing more than 11,000 people in the West African countries of Guinea, Liberia, and Sierra Leone.
