The UN General Assembly resolution reiterated the inviolable rights of the Syrian people over the occupied Golan and of the Palestinian people over their natural resources, including land, water and energy resources.
In this resolution, the United Nations General Assembly called upon the occupying Israeli regime to cease the exploitation or destruction of natural resources in the occupied Golan and the Occupied Palestinian Territories and to stop all practices harmful to the environment, including the disposal of waste by Israeli settlers.

“The Golan Heights is a very important and strategic region belonging to Syria, which was occupied by the Zionist regime in 1967 and has since become an ideal for Syrians to liberate.
The occupied Golan area is part of the province of al-Quneitra in southwestern Syria, most of which the Zionist regime occupied during the 1967 Six-Day War and illegally annexed part of it on December 14, 1981, but the international community has never recognized this act of aggression.
