French President Emmanuel Macron has said that the head of the government of Kiev, Zelensky, at the G7 summit "could change the rules of the game" in Ukraine.According to local media reports, Macron and Zelensky are currently holding talks on the sidelines of the G7 summit in Hiroshima, Japan.The sources note that during the meeting, Macron said Zelensky's presence at the G7 in Japan "could be a game changer" for the conflict in Ukraine.
"This is a unique opportunity to speak with G7 leaders who have supported, support and will continue to support your country and your people," the French president said, referring to his Ukrainian counterpart. Macron noted that this is also an opportunity for Zelensky to exchange views with many other countries of the South and pass on his message to them."I think this could change the rules of the game,” the French president underlined.
