It has been two years since Haj Qassem Soleimani and his entourage were assassinated outside Baghdad Airport while on an official state visit to Iraq. General Soleimani was a well-known figure across the Middle East, if not the entire world, and his martyrdom was intended to prevent him from encouraging liberation movements throughout the region. Haj Qassem’s in-depth understanding of the Axis of Resistance’s vast capabilities and potentials, combined with his refusal to be intimidated by the enemy’s military tools and war machine, led him to plan and implement large-scale operations against the Zionists and American agents oppressing the Palestinian nation. Over decades, global arrogance has developed sophisticated strategies to undermine and discredit Islam and Muslims. Haj Qassem Soleimani, on the other side, used his efforts to show the world the true face of Islam and Muslims, proving that the global arrogance narrative is false and misleading. As Haj Qassem’s contributions to global peace irritated imperialists, particularly those of bloodthirsty American officials, the global imperialism orchestrated General Soleimani’s assassination to prevent the Axis of Resistance from achieving more triumphs over Israeli-backed terrorists. The US Imperialism’s ultimate objective is to shift the global power balance, and General Soleimani was one of the few leaders who stood up to these nefarious schemes. However, since the Axis of Resistance is not led by a single leader, nations and oppressed peoples are being drawn in by the resistance’s lofty Islamic discourse and eager to join the fight against Zionists. As a consequence, General Soleimani’s martyrdom will not only not derail resistance’s aspirations, but will instead pump new blood into the veins of the Axis of Resistance. As can be observed, the Axis of Resistance’s prominence in Middle East dynamics has expanded dramatically, and resistance continues to be a potent political option among Middle Eastern nations and throughout the world.
