Here’s How Iranians React to Soleimani’s Assasination

Immediately after confirming the news of General Soleimani's martyrdom, officials, political, social and cultural figures of the country reacted to this crime in official medias or social networks. In a message of condolences following the martyrdom of Qassem Soleimani, President Hassan Rouhani said: “Undoubtedly, the free nations will take revenge for this horrible crime.”

Ali Larijani, Speaker of the Islamic Consultative Assembly, also stated: “This nation will never spare the blood of its heroic children.”

Hojjatolislam Seyyed Ibrahim Reisi, head of the Judiciary, also expressed his condolences: “With this brutal act, the United States put an end to its evil life in the region.”

In addition to political figures, a number of prominent cultural figures also reacted to the assassination of General Soleimani.

The funeral of the two martyrs began in Kazemain, near the shrines of Imam Musa Kazem (AS) and Imam Javad (AS). Then they brought the coffins to Baghdad with the presence of several high-rank Iraqi officials, including PM Adel Abdul Mahdi, Sayyid Ammar Hakim as head of the Iraqi Wisdom Movement, Hadi al-Amiri as a new commander of al-Hashd al-Shabi and a number of officials from Iraqi parties and groups
