Meanwhile, a new scandal has gripped the British government: the disappearance of a number of immigrant children.

According to the Observer, 200 refugee children went missing from a Home Office-run hostel, and human trafficking gangs are reportedly complicit in this tragedy. The British NGOs have repeatedly expressed concern about the missing children and offered to assist the government in ensuring their safety, but 10 Downing Street has rebuffed such offers.

As in past years, the world faced challenging times during 2022.
