Following the assassination of General Qassem Soleimani and his entourage in Baghdad by the United States, the international media covered his funeral from the very first hours before the ceremony began and broadcast the presence of millions of people around the world.
Arab and Western media outlets, including Saudi Arabia's Al-Arabiya, US-based CNN and Russia's Russian Today, covered General Soleimani's funeral, calling it the largest funeral since the funeral of Ayatollah Khomeini, the founder of the Islamic Revolution.
The American media, in turn, covered the big event, and the New York Times reported that millions took to the streets at General Soleimani's funeral, which has never been seen in the last 25 years.
After the funeral of this Iranian general in Iraq, the unique and millions of Shiites in several large cities of Iran were accompanied by the participation of people of different countries in the symbolic funeral of his body and this glorious funeral marked a popular uprising in different countries and a clear example of a referendum, at the international level, in support of the Iranian government and its regional presence. The goals of this referendum were also achieved at the global level.
It was the bold policies of the United States, and the countries of the world became more and more aware of the absurdity of the policy of Iranophobia, because these uprisings were met with strong protests, and everyone realized that the Iranian system has a strong popular base among the nations of the region.
A question arises in this regard: If the number one American security man was on the terrorism list and was killed by another country, would the nations of the region be willing to hail him as hero the way they hail Soleimani?
In fact, General Soleimani's funeral was a turning point that drew public opinion and the nations of the world to the belligerent policies of Washington and the coercion of its leaders, and made them more
aware of the danger that the United States poses to world peace and security
