Pyongyang fired at least two ballistic missiles that flew for about 11 minutes and landed inside Japan's exclusive economic zone.This was confirmed at a press conference by Japanese deputy defense minister Kimi Onoda, noting that Tokyo has expressed protests in Pyongyang through diplomatic channels.
"North Korea launched at least two ballistic missiles. The first one was in the air for about 11 minutes and fell into the Sea of Japan within the exclusive economic zone. Its range was about 850 kilometers with a maximum altitude of 50 kilometres.
The second missile was in the air for about 11 minutes and crashed into the Sea of Japan inside the exclusive economic zone. Its flight range was about 900 kilometers with a maximum flight altitude of 50 kilometers," he noted.
Onoda also pointed out that in connection with the ongoing missile launches, Tokyo has sent a strong protest to North Korea through diplomatic channels in Beijing.
