According to the honored head of the Islamic Revolution, the Islamic Republic will not fail to take its rational position on the nuclear issue and will enrich uranium up to 60% depending on the country’s interests and needs.

Ayatollah Khamenei, the Supreme Leader of the Islamic Revolution, during a meeting with the President and the nation’s elected representatives in the Assembly of Experts on Monday evening, described the literature of the United States and the three European countries (Germany, France and Britain) towards reducing Iran’s obligations under the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPoA/Atom Agreement) as arrogant, demanding, unjust and false literature and stated: The Islamic Republic has fulfilled its obligations according to the teachings of Islam from day one and for a long time, but the party that failed to fulfill its obligations from day one was these four countries, so they should be reprimanded and held accountable.

He added, “When the United States withdrew from the agreement and others joined them, the Quranic order was that you also drop the obligation. However, our esteemed government still did not suspend the commitments and gradually reduced some of them. Of course, these are reversible if the other side fulfills its obligations.

Ayatollah Khamenei said, “In the meantime, the international Zionist clown keeps saying that we will not allow Iran to acquire nuclear weapons, while he should be told that neither he nor his masters could not be prevented if the Islamic Republic decided to acquire nuclear weapons.

He stressed, “What prevents the Islamic Republic from building nuclear weapon is the Islamic thoughts and principles that prohibit building nuclear or chemical weapons that kill ordinary people.

The head of the Islamic Revolution then recalled the massacre of 220,000 people in the U.S. nuclear bombs as well as the siege of oppressed people in Yemen and the bombing of markets, hospitals and schools by Western-built warplanes, saying that killing civilians and innocent people is the way of the Americans and the West, and the Islamic Republic does not accept this method and therefore does not think of nuclear weapons.

Ayatollah Khamenei stressed, “But we are determined to acquire nuclear capabilities that meet the country’s needs, and for this reason Iran’s enrichment limit will not remain at 20% and will act where the country needs it.

The head of the Islamic Revolution noted, “The issue of nuclear weapons is an excuse. They are even against our acquisition of conventional weapons because they want to take away Iran’s components of power.

Ayatollah Khamenei referred to the fact that nuclear power plants will be one of the most important sources of energy in the near future by providing healthier, cleaner and cheaper energy, and described the country’s need for enrichment as self-evident.

The head of the Islamic Revolution further affirmed, “The Islamic Republic will not retreat on the nuclear issue as in other cases and will move forward with strength towards the interest and needs of the country today and tomorrow
