Mark Sleboda, US military veteran and international affairs and security analyst, comments on rumors of an imminent Ukrainian counter-offensive, reporting how Kiev needs to demonstrate to Western allies how all the investments they have made lead to any result on the ground.
Kiev is widely discussing and publicizing the topic of its much-hyped spring counter-offensive, hoping to show its Western backers that the huge amount of military aid donated as part of the proxy war with Russia has not been in vain, reports the international affairs and security analyst Mark Sleboda. "The Kiev regime has gathered 'cannon fodder' for its much-heralded spring counter-offensive, Sleboda told Sputnik. According to him, in addition to the 100,000 conscripts for territorial defense, go counting over 5,000 trained soldiers, it is estimated 12 or 13 new brigades, taking into account the fact that in recent months at least 40,000 soldiers (nine brigades) have been trained by NATO.
