According to the head of Russia’s NBC Defense Forces, General Igor Kirillov, Russia has evidence that the US has moved its biological weapons production laboratories, previously located in Ukraine, to other European countries, including Poland.
“Russia is thwarting Washington’s plan to use biological weapons militarily on Ukrainian soil,” Tass news agency reported, citing Kirillov.
“We have obtained new information about the key figures in this so-called Ukrainian project, who have remained hidden until now,” Tass quoted Kirillov as saying. Among them are US Democrats, Pentagon employees and their contractors.
Washington is now trying to move the unfinished project in Ukraine to Asia and Eastern Europe as quickly as possible, Kirillov said. They will investigate and “hold those responsible to account”.
The Russian general added: “Due to the war in Ukraine, the US has halted its illegal activities in Ukraine and has now moved these labs to other Eastern European countries, including Poland. We have in our hands more than 20,000 documents collected during the questioning of witnesses related to these laboratories.
Although the US is a member of the Biological Weapons Convention, which was passed in 1971 and came into force in 1975, it is actually credited with being one of the pioneers in the development of various types of these inhuman weapons.
