Oxfam : Gaza is running out of food
The World Food Program of the United Nations, referring once again to the humanitarian disaster in the Gaza Strip, called for immediate aid to hundreds of thousands of starving Palestinians.
The organization announced that it had to stop providing aid to the residents of the northern part of the Gaza Strip until the conditions for the safe distribution of aid are ensured. It is said in the statement: "The decision to end aid to northern Gaza was not taken lightly, as we know the situation there is deteriorating and more people will be at risk. It is necessary to ensure the safety of the people distributing the aid and the people receiving it. The situation is more difficult for children, pregnant women and young mothers. Every child in the north of the Gaza Strip is malnourished."
While warning about the deterioration of the humanitarian situation in the Gaza Strip, the spokesperson of the Oxfam organization stated that the food in the Gaza Strip is running out at a high rate. This Oxfam official added that due to the lack of sufficient aid, there is a systematic famine in the Gaza Strip, at the same time, the purchasing power of the Gazans is not sufficient to buy the minimum food from the markets. The spokesperson of the Oxfam organization also said that it has become difficult to control the spread of infectious diseases in the Gaza Strip. It should be noted that the number of Palestinian martyrs reached 30 thousand as a result of the intensification of Israeli attacks in the Gaza Strip.
