According to foreign media reports, the martyr Qassem Soleimani, commander of the Quds Force, was an influential military diplomat in the West Asia region and played a key role in confronting the takfiri terrorists of ISIS.

The Saudi newspaper, al-Hayat, reported that General Soleimani was the most powerful security official in West Asia. The newspaper pointed out that the Supreme Leader of the Islamic Republic of Iran called the General Soleimani as the "living martyr" in 2005, and the newspaper added: "Qassem Soleimani" does not appear in front of the cameras. Referring to the figure of the martyr Qassem Soleimani as a commander of the Quds Force, the Daily Star newspaper said: “The ideology of the Quds Force commander is a mixture of soft and hard strategic methods by supporting the popular forces (the Iraqi Popular Mobilization Forces and the resistance factions in Syria) in their war against ISIS and the takfiri groups.

The New Yorker newspaper wrote about Qassem Soleimani: He was a modest middle-aged man. After he reached the leadership of the Quds Force at the age less than 50 years, he sought to change course of power in the West Asia region in favor of Iran and he played an important role in supporting Syria, Iraq and Hezbollah in Lebanon, as the newspaper quoted an American official as saying: "General Qassem Soleimani was the strong man in West Asia.
