Russian representative leaves Security Council hall in protest

MOSCOW-The permanent representative of the Russian Federation to the United Nations Vasily Nebenzya said he would not listen to his Ukrainian counterpart Sergei Kislitsa's speech at a UN Security Council meeting and left the room.

He explained his position by Mr. Kislitsa’s disrespectful remarks about Russian diplomats. “I would like to say that I will not listen to the bilious eloquence of a representative of the Kiev regime. He once again scored an outstanding diplomatic tweet on the Friday before last.

For those unfamiliar with his work, I highly recommend familiarizing yourself with it. This, as we have already said, is proof of the high level of Ukrainian diplomacy,” Nebenzya said at a UN Security Council meeting. After the Nov. 24 U.N. Security Council meeting on Ukraine, Serhiy Kyslitsa wrote on his Twitter that listening to the Russian representative is “one of his most terrible duties.” The text was accompanied by a photograph of Mr. Kislitsa, where he, in a T-shirt with obscene language against Russian President Vladimir Putin, shows an indecent hand gesture.

Kremlin, we will respond to Ukrainian attacks in Russia
Russia will take “the necessary measures to ensure security following Kiev’s continued terrorist attacks on Russian territory,” the Kremlin said after the new attack in Kursk on a Russian airport depot. Kremlin spokesman Dmitri Peskov also announced that Moscow sees “no prospects for peace talks in Ukraine,” stressing that “Russia must achieve the goals of the special military operation and this will be done.”

Russia will take all necessary measures to ensure security following Kiev’s continued terrorist attacks on Russian territory. This was said according to Tass by Kremlin spokesman Peskov after the new attack in Kursk on a fuel depot at a Russian airport. For Russia, what is happening in Ukraine should culminate in “a fair long-term peace,” but as of now Moscow sees no prospects for negotiations.
