The Secretary General of Lebanese Hezbollah, in a speech on the occasion of the anniversary of the birth of the Holy Prophet of Islam (PBUH), underlined the irreplaceable role of Imam Khomeini, the great founder of the Islamic Republic of Iran, in establishing unity between Shiites and Sunnis.
In this speech, “Seyyed Hassan Nasrallah” congratulated all Muslims on the birth of the Holy Prophet of Islam, Hazrat Mohammad Mustafa (PBUH), Imam Ja’far Sadegh (AS) and the Week of Unity. and stated that one of the blessings of Imam Khomeini’s deeds and the fruits of the victory of the Islamic Revolution in Iran was that the issue of the date of birth of the Prophet (PBUH), which was disputed among Muslims, became a point of intersection and unity.
Sunnis consider the 12th and Shiites the 7th month ” Rabīʿ al-awwall” (the third month of the Islamic calendar ) as the anniversary of the birth of the Holy Prophet of Islam (PBUH).
Imam Khomeini, the great founder of the Islamic Republic of Iran, who himself was a preacher of unity in the Islamic world, used this theme to unite Islamic groups and bring them closer to each other, and declared the distance between the two dates (12-17 Rabi al- Awal) as ” Unity Week.”
In another part of his speech, the Secretary General of Lebanese Hezbollah referred to the sufferings of the oppressed nation of Palestine and said, “No free person can be indifferent to Palestine, its oppressed people and its sanctity.
Nasrallah also referred to the crimes of the Saudi coalition of aggression in Yemen and called on the international community to listen to the will of millions of Yemenis instead of condemning the victims in Yemen.
