The Syrian Foreign Minister said that Damascus is ready to cooperate in any way with Saudi Arabia, to reopen the Embassy in Riyadh.Faisal Mekdad was quoted as saying by Sputnik when visiting the Syrian Embassy building in Riyadh, saying, "Syria is ready to establish any cooperation with our Saudi brothers to reopen our Embassy as soon as possible."
He added, "Riyadh and Damascus are studying the selection of the right Ambassador so that bilateral relations in the field of Arab World and foreign policy can grow and develop."
At the same time, the Syrian Foreign Minister emphasized that his country's relations with the Saudis were positive and constructive, and reported that the Saudi Embassy in Damascus was almost ready to reopen, and the Riyadh delegation had recently visited Damascus.
