Tens of thousands of Muslim worshipers prayed at al-Aqsa mosque

AL QUDS-Tens of thousands of Muslim worshipers celebrated Friday prayers in al-Aqsa mosque in occupied Jerusalem. Local sources said more than 40,000 Palestinian citizens celebrated Friday prayers in the Islamic holy place, among the strict Israeli security measures. During the Friday sermon, the al-Aqsa preacher, Sheikh Ikrima Sabri, denounced the statements made by the President of the European Commission, Ursula von der Leyen, on the 75th anniversary of Israel's settlement in the land of Palestine.

Al-Aqsa preacher warned that all Muslims must face their responsibilities towards Palestine, Jerusalem and al-Aqsa Mosque. Sheikh Ikrima called on Israeli occupation authorities to release the bodies of all martyrs Palestinians, the last of which was Khader Adnan, who died a couple of days ago in Israeli prisons after 86 days on hunger strike.

Palestinian Prisoners Affairs Department announced that Palestinian prisoners have taken 2 Zionist prison guards hostage in Megiddo Jail. It was reported that the situation in Megiddo Prison is tense, and at the same time, a large number of Zionist soldiers were sent to the cells to control the situation, and they used tear gas against the prisoners. Confirming the clashes in Megiddo prison, the Zionist network Kan said that no one was injured in this incident. The Palestinian Prisoner Information Office announced that the Palestinian prisoner who assaulted a Zionist officer in Ward 10 of Megiddo Prison in response to Khader Adnan's martyrdom in prison.
