The Islamic Radios &Television Union has issued a statement condemning the Zionist regime’s crimes against the Palestinian people

The occupying Zionist regime continues to commit atrocities against the Palestinian people and holy sites and preemptively targets the local and international media headquarters and journalists.

The Zionists have no regard for international rules and conventions that protects the journalists during times of conflict. The al-Jalaa building in Gaza City, which houses Qatar-based broadcaster Al Jazeera, the Associated Press, and Radio Al-Asraa, has been bombed again by the Zionists.

In the past few days, the Israeli air force has struck Al-Shorouk tower, which houses several media outlets –including Al-Aqsa TV and Al-Aqsa Radio, Al-Quds Al-Youm TV, Sowat Al-Quds Radio, Al-Teyf Radio, and the office of Al-Hayat Al-Jadeeda newspaper.

Moreover, Al-Jawhara Tower, located in downtown Gaza City, which includes 12 media institutions, namely the office of Islamic Radios & Television Union and its fellow media members, has been targeted by the Zionist enemy.

First: We hereby vehemently condemn these atrocities against the Palestinian nation and the media institutions, news teams, television and radio stations, newspapers. We consider the Zionist forces’ barbaric actions of burning the offices of media institutions working in Gaza an egregious crime. The Zionist terrorists must be brought to justice.

Second: The Islamic Radio and Television Union salutes all Gaza-based news organizations that broadcast the truth about the Zionist crimes and report the outrageous atrocities committed by the Israeli regime. May God grant them health and salvation.

Attacking media outlets is deemed a heinous act meant to extinguish the light of the truth in the world.

Third: we condemn the Zionist policy of attacking the Palestinian civilians. The Zionists attempt to stifle the freedom of the press and media outlets and silence the voice of truth that exposes their crimes and attacks on the Palestinian people.

Fourth: These crimes do not preclude the media from continuing their activities and the successful task of exposing the occupiers’ crimes against the Palestinian people and journalists.

Fifth: We demand that the Zionist regime be prosecuted and expelled from all international bodies that promote freedom of speech, such as the UN and UNESCO, as well as establishing a committee to investigate the Zionist regime’s crimes against journalists.

Sixth: We call all international and media bodies to take the necessary steps to punish the Zionist criminals and bring them to justice for their crimes against the Palestinian civilians and journalists.

Seventh: We offer all our resources to the Palestinian media outlets and newsgroups and declare our support and solidarity with these organizations so that they can continue their mission of bringing the Palestinian resistance’s voice to the world.
