While waiting for the official announcement of the Republican Nikki Haley’s candidacy in a few days, the great maneuvers are underway to challenge Donald Trump, the only one who is an open candidate and who, only on the conservative front, could find himself clashing with eight other aspirants.
Joe Biden, according to rumors, could announce his descent into leadership in the weeks following the speech on the State of the Union, scheduled for February 7th. In the Republican house, expectations are high for the possible candidacy of Florida governor Ron DeSantis. But at least six other conservatives could decide to challenge Trump.
There are in fact his former vice president Mike Pence, but also his former secretary of state Mike Pompeo. South Carolina Senator Tim Scott, former Maryland Governor Larry Hogan, former Arkansas Governor Asa Hutchinson and Virginia Governor Glenn Youngkin could also run.
