The Zionist regime has killed 55 Palestinian journalists since 2000

Since 2000, the Zionist regime has killed 55 Palestinian journalists. This was announced by the head of the Palestinian Trade Union of Journalists. According to the Palestinian news agency Wafa, Nasser Abu Bakr added: “Last year, Zionist soldiers killed Aljazeera reporter Shirin Abu Akla, as well as Gufran Warasne, a local newspaper reporter in occupied Palestine.

The head of the Palestinian Union of Journalists said: “Since 2013, there have been more than 8,500 attacks on journalists by the Zionist regime.” Abu Bakr added: “The city of Quds recorded the largest number of attacks by the Zionist military on journalists, the purpose of which is to prevent the transmission of the realities of the occupied lands to the world and encroachment on Islamic and Christian shrines.”

The Committee to Support Journalists, headquartered in Beirut, the Lebanese capital, had previously announced that the Zionist regime was continuing its policy of arresting journalists, with 21 Palestinian journalists currently in the regime’s prisons. According to the statement of the Committee for the Support of Journalists, the purpose of such actions of the Zionist regime is to prevent the professional work of Palestinian journalists covering the crimes of this regime against the Palestinians.

The Zionist regime court in the city of Eilat near Tel Aviv sentenced Ayman Haj Yahya, one of the leaders of the Palestinian Kafah movement, to 7 years in prison on charges of links with Iran. According to the Arab48 website, an Israeli court also fined the former Palestinian prisoner NIS 20,000. According to this report, Haj Yahya was arrested on March 16, 2020, on charges of having connections and meeting with leaders of “anti-Israel” organizations.

Haj Yahya – General Secretary of the Kafakh movement and the national movement of prisoners in the areas occupied in 1948, is known for his activities in the field of national issues and prisoners. In order to achieve their expansionist goals, the Zionists daily raid various parts of Palestine and kill, injure or arrest Palestinians on false charges.
