Sudden increases in gasoline prices, rising prices of basic consumer goods, especially food, have caused an unprecedented rise in inflation over the past 41 years in America.
Economists in America have warned of an economic downturn in this country.
CBS News television wrote in a tweet Tuesday: In the U.S. in 2021, about one-sixth of soldiers returning from war and their families were food insecure.
According to the tweet, the U.S. Military Family Advisory Network also reported that the rate was lower in the United States two years ago, and an eighth of soldiers and their families were food insecure.
CBS News continued on its Twitter page: U.S. military families are increasingly dependent on getting food from free food distribution centers to make ends meet.
At a free food distribution center near Fort Hood military base in Texas, the number of military families coming to the center for food assistance has now tripled over the last 5 years.
