US Launches New Attack on Yemen
A number of international media reported a new attack by United States troops on Yemen, unilaterally.

Al Mayadeen television station, Saturday (13/1/2024) early in the morning reported that the sound of a large explosion was heard in the northern area of the city of Sanaa, the capital of Yemen. Not long after, Yemeni television, Al Masirah, reported new attacks by the United States and Britain on Sanaa. US media claimed the new attack was carried out unilaterally by US troops. According to Al Mayadeen television station, air and missile attacks were carried out on Al Dailami air base, near Sanaa international airport. A US official told CNN that the new attack on Yemen targeted a radar facility used by Yemen's Ansarullah forces. He added that US troops unilaterally carried out the attack. According to CNN, this attack was carried out by a US warship. To date, Yemeni attacks on Israeli ships have never resulted in casualties, but US attacks have so far left 15 Yemenis dead. On the other hand, US media reported that the US attack on Yemen did not have approval from that country's Congress.

The French government refuses to take part in attacking the Yemeni Armed Forces, and does not want to join the military coalition of the United States and Britain. Quoted by TV Al Mayadeen, Saturday (13/1/2024), even though France is a member of the maritime coalition formed by the US in the Red Sea, it refuses to take part in launching direct attacks against Yemeni troops. The French government has refused to sign a statement regarding support for attacks on Yemen by the US and UK. The reason for refusing to join the attack on Yemen was to protect shipping in the Red Sea. A number of countries, including Germany, Denmark, Australia and Canada, supported the US and UK attacks on Yemen, but France, Italy and Spain refused to provide military or political support for this attack. Under the pretext of concentrating on diplomatic efforts to reduce tensions between Hezbollah and Israel, France, admitted that it was worried about an attack on Yemen, and considered that participation in this attack would endanger Paris' instruments of pressure. At the same time, the French Foreign Ministry condemned Yemen's attacks on Israeli ships, and emphasized that world countries must react to these actions in accordance with international law.
