What is the impact of Iran’s missile strike on the military deterrence equation

The
most important point in the Iranian missile attack on US-led Ain al-Asad base
was to destroy the prestige of America as superpower country. The Iranian
missile strike is the first official strike declared by a country targeting US
bases since World War II. In this regard, the Supreme Leader of the Revolution,
Sayyed Ali Khamenei said in his speech in the Friday prayers after the missile
strike on Ain al-Asad base: “the Revolutionary Guards' missiles hit the
American base, this day called “Days of God.” This strong reaction was an
effective military coup, but more importantly, it was a blow to the dignity of
the American. The increase in sanctions that the Americans are talking about
these days will not restore their reputation
.”

The
United States chose to abstain from military action after the Iranian missiles
strike Ain al-Asad base. Trump even spoke to reporters about talks and
cooperation with Iran in his press conference. Before the attack, Trump claimed
that America would attack 52 points in Iran if this country attacks America.
But in fact, Trump's threat was a kind of psychological operation to deter
Iran, which of course did not succeed
.

In
the early days, the United States did not allow journalists to be in the base.
But three days after attack, CNN International reporter Arwa Damon filmed a
documentary on the extensive damage caused by Iranian missile strikes on
well-equipped US military base. The reporter said "almost nothing remains
from the base, it is very strange that no one was injured in such as this
devastation
."

This situation indicates a change in the balance of
conflict and deterrence between Iran and the United States. The attack on Ain
al-Asad base showed _although not at the level of revenge for the blood of
Soleimani and Abu Mahdi al-Muhandis_ that the Islamic Republic of Iran has the
power to strike the depth of American targets accurately
