Abbas bin Ali (peace be upon him)

He had no equal in loyalty. Last night, when the enemy had sent him a safe conduct, he replied: "A curse be on your safe conduct!" Do you ask me to stop helping my brother and obey you?" Even today, when he reached the Euphrates with a waterskin on his shoulder at the command of Hussain, he remembered his brother's thirst and did not drink water. He was on his way back to the tents when the enemy blocked his way. He didn't care how much he was hurt. Even when his arms were cut off, he didn't stop fighting.
He must deliver water to Hussain's children anyway. But when an arrow pierced his waterskin, all his hopes were dashed.
