Alamut region

Alamut is the name of a region in the northeast of Qazvin city in Qazvin province, which consists of two parts: Western Alamut and Eastern Alamut. As Hamdullah Mostofi wrote in Nazha-ul-Qulub, this area was known as Rudbar until the 7th century of Hijri, until when Hasan Sabah came there and visited the Ismaili sect and the activities of God of Death, it was written as Rudbar of Death and called Alamut
