After the occupation of Tabriz in December 1911, which was faced with resistance of the constitutionalists of this city, the Russian forces punished the people and killed a large number of freedom fighters and justice seekers.
But the bloodiest day of Tabriz happened on the January 1, 1912 that was Ashura day, when the Russians executed 8 constitutionalists of this city.
