Palestine is one of the oldest inhabited areas in the world with a population of about 7 million people and an area of 28009 square kilometers, most of which is occupied by the Zionist regime. The capital of Palestine is Jerusalem, and the cities of Gaza and Ramallah are temporary administrative centers. Meanwhile, Khan Yunus and Nablus are also important cities of this country.
The land of Palestine was ruled by the Ottoman government from 1517 until World War I, after which it came under British tutelage. Since the late 19th century, with the rise of the Zionist movement and the spread of Jewish immigration to Palestine, the Jewish population in the country has increased.
Following the escalation of the conflict between the Arabs and the Zionists, a resolution was passed at the United Nations in November 29, 1947, according to which Palestine was divided into Jewish and Arab parts. Under the plan, more than 56% of all Palestinian land was ceded to Jews and the rest to Arabs.
Following the adoption of UN General Assembly Resolution 181 on the partition of Palestine into Jewish and Arab parts, Britain decided to withdraw its forces from Palestine on May 14, 1948, In order for the Zionist movement to be able to announce the establishment of the state of "Israel" as soon as possible.
In 1948, after the withdrawal of British troops, the fake and usurping state of "Israel" declared its existence in the land of Palestine and in a short period of time occupied about 80% of the territory of this country. Due to the lack of a national entity in Palestine, the administration of the Gaza Strip was ceded to Egypt and the administration of the West Bank to Jordan, which were also occupied by the Zionist regime in 1967.
