Rais Ali Delvari
- Born in 1882 in Delvar, a village of Tangestan city.
- At the age of 24, he was one of the pioneers of the constitutional movement in southern Iran.
- He led the uprising of the people of Tangestan against British colonialism for 7 years.
- In 1908, he captured Bushehr province, and made it out of Qajar tyranny and controlled it for 9 months.
- He was the nightmare of the British Navy on the southern front, which was defeated so many times by his troops.
- Delvari was martyred at the age of 33 by one of his traitors.
The war between the brave Tangestanian forces led by Ra'is Ali Delvari along with three hundred Borazjani riflemen led by Ghazanfar al-Saltanah Borazjani on the one side and the British forces and their allied Khans on the otherside continued for 7 years until September 1915 and the British could not defeat Ra'is Ali and his allies.
Finally, during an ambush on British forces, Ra'is Ali was shot in the back of the head by an agent called “Ghulam Hussain Tengki” in a place called “Tengak Safar”, and was martyred at the age of 33.
