Sheikh Mohammad Khiabani;
A young cleric from East Azerbaijan who, at the age of thirty, represented the people of Tabriz in the second term of National Consultative Assembly and opposed the Russian ultimatum in his first political move.
After the end of this parliamentary term, Khiabani went to Tabriz and revolted against domestic tyranny and foreign colonization of Russia.
Sheikh Muhammad Khiyabani revolted at a critical period in Iran's history and coincided with the establishment of the Soviet regime and its threat to the country's borders and the imposition of the 1919 agreement on the agent government of the Vossug ed Dowleh.
The Khiabani revolution was aimed at bridging the gap resulting from the withdrawal of Russian forces and limiting the influence of the Red Army in the region.
Khiabani, with the uprising in Tabriz, fought against the Vossug ed Dowleh. agreement with the British government (1919 agreement), according to which all state and military affairs of Iran were carried out under the supervision of British advisers and with their permission. He saw the movement and resistance to foreign intervention as the only way to victory.
