February 14 marks the Bahraini nation's uprising against Al-e-Khalifa dynasty, which began with the legitimate demands of the Bahraini people in 2011 and became known as the "Pearl Revolution."
The Pearl Revolution spread so much that exactly one month later, on March 14 of that year, 1,000 Saudi and 500 Emirati soldiers arrived in Bahrain to suppress the revolutionaries, following Al-e-Khalifa's help request from the persian Gulf Cooperation Council.
The most important demands of the Bahraini people:
- Drafting a new constitution according to which all religions in Bahrain have equal rights.
- Holding parliamentary elections in a completely democratic manner.
- The release of all political prisoners who have been detained only after declaring their opposition to the ruling regime.
- Holding democratic elections in the country so that power in the country is not limited to a specific family (Al-e- Khalifa regime).
