From the point of view of the Holy Qur'an, the result of compromise with infidels and enemies will be only loss [you will turn back as losers], and these losses include the losses in this world in addition to the Hereafter, because returning to disbelief [turn you into disbelievers]  means the cultural and identity collapse of the Islamic society, which paves the way for the complete obedience of infidels and enemies [until you follow their religion] in other political, economic and military fields, and ultimately leads to the complete domination of infidels over Islamic societies.
