Hajj is a religious obligation that is 100% political. It gathers people together in one place, at one time, every year; what is this? The gathering of people and their coming together – this act in itself has a political essence. Contrary to the efforts, words, and actions of some who try to undermine Hajj being political, its essence, its form, and its composition are political.
