Hana, the fifth simulated goat in the world

Following a series of successful studies done by Royan Research Institute and after the birth of the first simulated sheep named Royana on September 30, 2006, goat simulation with the ultimate goal of achieving domestic capability in producing transgenic animals and finally producing recombinant drugs was put on the institute's agenda. And after a while, the first transgenic simulated goat of the country was born through C-section in perfect health at 1:30 AM on April 15, 2009 in the Cell Science Research Center of the Royan Research Institute in Isfahan Province. This beautiful female hybrid goat was named Henna because of her white fawn look. Iran is the fifth country in the world in goat simulation after the United States, Britain, Canada and China.
