Imam Musa al-Sadr: 

I cannot separate Imam Hussein (pbuh) mourning processions from efforts to support fighters at borders. I cannot understand mourning Imam Hussein (pbuh) unless it trains champions; unless it trains people who can stand against oppressors and speak the truth. This is the meaning of Hussein and mourning Hussein.
