Iran is the second largest producer of Osveral

In 2003, studies to achieve the production technology of iron-reducing drug began at Tehran University of Medical Sciences, and after a few years, with the acquisition of effective material and semi-industrial pilot study, the production process of iron-reducing drug was carried out in the university's subsidiaries. After various scientific evaluations and clinical trials, it was registered in the country's drug list and was unveiled on July 26, 2007, Deferasiroxoral is the newest drug to facilitate iron excretion in thalassemia patients. Iran is the second largest producer of thalassemia oral iron in the world under the brand name Osveral.
