The Hezbollah militias in an operation code-named The Righteous Promise captivated dozens of Israeli soldiers in the beginning of Lebanon war. The Hezbollah successfully forced Israelis to ceasefire after 33-day open confrontation.

The Israeli currency (Shekel) saw significant downfall in the series. It was the first time in Israeli history that Israeli cities were targeted by missiles.

Lebanese Hezbollah fighters launched roughly 4000 rockets and missiles into Israeli territory leaving Haifa - Israel's economic capital and second largest city- nearly abandoned.
