Jun bin Hawi (peace be upon him)

When he asked for permission to go to the battle field and Hussain refused his request, he was very heartbroken. He thought to himself that Hussain probably does not consider me worthy. For many years, he was the servant of one of Imam Ali's companions, namely Abu Dharr, and now he had come to Karbala with Ali's son, Hussein. In the end, however, he got his permission from the Imam by saying: "I would like my blood to mix with yours." He fought bravely in the battle field and eventually fell to the ground.
It was in the last moments of his life that Hussain came to his bedside and prayed for him: "God, lighten his face and make him smell good and accompany him with good people!"
