The Fatah Movement:

The history of “Fatah’ goes back to October 1959, when Arafat, along with Khalil Wazir, Salah Khalaf, Khaled Hassan and Farouk Kaddoumi, founded a movement called "Fatah", (Palestinian liberation movement). This organization had extensive relations with the fighters of the Islamic Movement led by Imam Khomeini and enjoyed the support of the Islamic Revolution after its victory in Iran.
