Sheikh Abbas Qummi, known as Muhaddith Qummi, was one of the Shiite scholars in the fields of hadith, Islamic history, sermons (wa'z), and religious orations (khataba) in the 20th century. This prolific hadith scholar was born in Qom in 1877 and died in Najaf in 1940 and was buried in the shrine of imam Ali (AS). This great narrator and author has authored 63 books in different domains the best-known of which are Mafatih al-Jinan, Manazel al-Akhirah, Muntah al-Amal, Safina al-Bihar, and Tuhfat al-Ahbab
