Political reasons for Tanuma Massacre
- Khalid bin Mohammad was informed about an agreement between Yemen and Hejaz on confronting Saudi King Abdul Aziz's violence. The agreement included an article of "Cooperation and assistance" between the two sides. Therefore Khalid had to scrap that deal.
- Dealing a psychological blow to the Yemeni people and forcing them into submission to Abdul Aziz al-Saud.
