Due to  Hezbollah's fierce resistance, shelling attacks on villages and townships in the north of the occupied Palestine and the "Israeli" army's inability to stop them, the Zionist regime failed to realize any of its stated goals. Therefore, a verbal truce agreement was announced a week after the start of the operation following negotiations with the United States.
