The Children of Tomorrow 4

My father is surprised by my work and I’m surprised by my father’s work! For example, what does the news have that the cartoon that he watches every day doesn’t have?! It’s just the same repetitive news: “The government has warned that there is a danger of a terrorist attack on an elementary school!”

He told me today: “Don’t go to school for a few days! This is one of those surprising professions!” He always encouraged me to study, but it was hard for me to get out of my warm and soft bed! Sometimes when I got good grades, he gave me money and I would buy delicious ice cream from the ice cream parlour and lick it slowly until it was finished.

I didn’t go to school today and I’m bored. I have to listen to the repetitive news: a suicide attack on a school has killed 23 students and a passerby. The passerby is said to have been a travelling salesman.
